Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation Review

In my latest First Impression Review, I tested out the latest Foundation and Concealer by Maybelline called Superstay Better Skin. The idea behind this foundation is that the longer you wear it for the better your skin will get. They claim that you will see results after 3 weeks. For this review, I just wanted to see how well it lasted for an entire day of wear.

The Superstay Better Skin line includes a foundation which retails around $10 and includes about 12 colors. It also has a concealer retailing around $9 with about 4 different shades.  I thought these were pretty decently priced for being drugstore products.

I first applied the concealer in Medium around my under-eye area. Right after I applied it, I could already see the difference, it looks better. It looked flawless and set quickly!

 Off the bat, I liked that the Superstay Better Skin foundation had a pump and how I could see the color of the actual foundation through the bottle. It was a thicker consistency when I pumped it on the back of my hand plus it had no scent to it.

The color Natural Beige is what matched best on my skin. I applied the foundation with a brush and blended it out with a sponge. It went on very smooth which I really liked and I loved how it instantly blurred out my imperfections. It set in 30 seconds which was awesome, plus I loved the natural look and feel of this foundation. It’s felt nice on my skin and very light. And it covered up my blemish instantly.

After 10 minutes and applying the rest of my makeup, I thought it looked great!

After taking a photo to see how it looked with flash, I thought my skin looked radiant!

5 hours later.

Checking in 5 hours after I first applied my makeup, I thought the Better Skin Foundation held up nicely. It was a hot day in the PNW during this review (around 90+) and my face wasn’t greasy, my blush and bronzer stayed in place and I thought it looked great overall.

As for the concealer, I was a little unfortunate that I was trying on a mascara that wasn’t holding up pretty well during this review because it would smear under my eyes so I rubbed off the concealer under my eyes trying to clean it up. But other than that, it held up well.

10 hours later.

At the end of the night I’d say the foundation  lasted about 8 hours. Just within the last 2 hours before ending the review was when my face started becoming oily and blotchy, so overall I was very impressed.  I would definitely buy this foundation again ! I loved the constancy, it set nicely, it was very easy to apply, it photography well with flash, plus the packaging is great. It looked natural on my skin and it covered my redness and imperfections. Even with oily/combination skin, it held strong for about 8 hours. Retailing at around $10 and how well it lasted, I think this is a great deal for a drugstore foundation.
