Maybelline Dream Wonder Foundation Review
Maybelline Dream Wonder Foundation Review
I picked up the Maybelline Dream Wonder Founation and recently did a review for you on my beauty channel ItsJudyTime.
The Maybelline Dream Wonder Foundation line has about 12 shades in the collection and retails for about $9 at Target. But I’ve seen it range from about $7-$9. I will make sure to have links below for you, so keep reading!
Since I had this foundation for about a month before doing this review, I can tell you that I found this very comparable to some of the higher end foundations I’ve been doing First Impression Reviews on.
For this review I wanted to see how well the Dream Wonder foundation would cover my redness, any blemish marks I had and overall, how it would even out my skin tone.
I decided to apply the foundation with a brush and found that it was easy to apply and blend into my skin. After about 30 seconds of applying, it was set!
I initially noticed that it did catch on to some dry spots and accentuated it a little, but nothing too bad. Since the Dream Wonder Foundation is aimed towards more normal skin types and I have oily to combination skin, I decided to use a setting powder to see how well it would hold up.
After applying the rest of my makeup, I took a photo to see how well it looked in flash photography. And In person and in photos it really made my skin look super smooth. But with flash although my skin was evened out, it didn’t look very natural, and you can tell I was wearing foundation.
So far after initial application, I really liked the foundation. It covered my redness, and imperfections and evened out my skin tone.
7 hours after applying, I would say that the foundation looks the same from when I applied it earlier in the day!
10 hours after application at the end of the day, I noticed shininess in my T-zone. But other than that, it stayed in place and you could still clearly see my blush and bronzer. No signs of blotchiness caused by the foundation which is always a good sign.
Overall, I would say that the higher end comparable foundation from YSL is better , but Maybelline Dream Wonder Foundation is a great, affordable drugstore alternative of it. The Dream Wonder is good choice for an everyday foundation. It applies easily, it has SPF of 20, and it looks great in person as well as in natural light.
TIP: Make sure to moisturize very well if you have any dry spots on your face before applying. For a better even coverage!
