Laura Mercier Foundation First Impression Review
Laura Mercier Foundation First Impression Review
I went to Sephora recently (watch my Sephora haul HERE) and picked up this new Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide Foundation as recommended to me by the sales person. The shade I am using in this review is in the color Buff. They have about 24 colors in the collection, so there is a large range of colors to choose from which is always a plus!
On the website this foundation claims to be oil free and “blurs imperfections for smoother complexion.” I have a few scars on my face and redness in some areas, so lets see if it evens it out after I apply the foundation.
The first thing I noticed when opening the packaging was that the product has a very liquid and runny consistency, so I had to be extra careful when opening it.
The directions suggest that you use your fingers to apply or a sponge. I chose to apply it with a beauty blender. Which worked great for me.
The Laura Mercier Foundation applied very smoothly and it feels lightweight on my face and sets fast! I liked that it blurred out my imperfections as it claimed and evened out my skin tone too.The foundation did not feel sticky or thick on my face like other foundations can sometimes feel. It’s so lightweight that you can still see your skin underneath.
I applied a little more foundation over areas where I had scars and I have to say that it has very good build able coverage.
After 5 minutes the foundation had completely set and looked great. I was very impressed by the finish and how I didn’t have to apply a setting powder to get a powder finished look. The Laura Mercier Fluide feels lightweight, and looks airbrushed on my skin.
I took a flash photo (as pictured above) to see how it looked and I thought it was beautiful, radiant and overall I really liked the finish.
6 hours later, after a hot day , the foundation still stayed put and did not rub off. During this check in I was still very pleased with how the Laura Mercier foundation held up.
10 hours later back at home, I noticed that the foundation has rubbed off around my nose. This is what usually happens for me as I am always itching around that area.
I did notice shininess around my t zone and a little on my cheeks. But I am not surprised since it has been a very hot day and very eventful one too. I think the Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Fluid Foundation still held up great under the circumstances and weather.
Overall, I would recommend the Laura Mercier Foundation because it it sets beautifully and fast. It has build able coverage and seems to hold up well even after 10 hours without a setting powder. The only downside is that the packaging can get a little messy with the liquid consistency of the foundation. But as long as you take precaution when opening the product you should be fine!
Let me know if you’ve tried the Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide foundation and your thoughts on it. I would also like to know what products you’d like me to review next on my ItsJudyTime Channel. I can’t wait to read your comments!
