The packaging of this gloss is huge, but includes the typical amount of product. It claims to be an intense color, with a flat finish for all day wear.

Since this is a matte gloss, I decided to do swatches on my arm to prevent drying out my lips from applying and removing each color.Screen Shot 2015-07-01 at 5.45.41 PM

Colors in order of swatch (Lightest to darkest):

Fantasy/Iconic/Dreamy/Fleur/Bazaar/Playful/Tulle/Timeless/Instinct/Obsess/Frisky/

Secret/Rebel/Backstage/Black Currant

Initially I decided to go with the second darkest color “Backstage

It comes with a doe foot applicator.

As I applied the first layer, it felt and looked more like a stain. I gave it a minute to set and it felt a bit sticky.

I kissed the back of my hand and I found no transfer which is always a plus!

I wanted the color to be as close to the color in the bottle, so after letting the first layers set I tried to apply another. After each application, I found that this color kept slipping and sliding on my lips.

After the 3rd layer and attempting for a 4th, I found that it was difficult to try to get it to look as true to color on my lips.

I decided to go with the next color down”Rebel,” to see if I’d have better luck with application.

Trying to remove the gloss with just a face wipe wasn’t working, so I turned to my favorite Clinique Take The Day Off Oil base makeup remover and it wiped right off, leaving a bit of a stain on my lips.

Rebel went on much better. I applied one layer and it was already true to color! After a minute the color set although it felt slightly tacky, it did not transfer.

3 PM:

The gloss looked as though I just applied it, even after eating and drinking. It didn’t move at all! It’s smudge proof, kiss proof and no residue was left on my arm from all of the swatches.

TIP: Make sure to use an oil base makeup remover to get it all off! I used: Clinique Take The Day Off

5 PM:

One small change I noticed was that it looked as if I had on lip liner. Since it was a bit tacky, after a while I think the gloss began to sit on the outer areas of my lips. But even after that, I still loved how it looked on! It was still transfer proof which was awesome news.

At the end of the night you could tell that the color was wearing off. I ate dinner that was a bit greasy, so it removed some of the color.

Overall, I think that this is a great product (depending on which color you choose.) Rebel was a great color for me and something I would wear again!

PROS:

Awesome color selection (16 colors), price is affordable ($5 online), long lasting (8 hours is when I noticed wear) and unscented.

CONS:

Some colors are streaky when applied.
