Cover Girl TruBlend Foundation, Concealer & Powder Review
I picked up the Covergirl TruBlend Foundation, Concealer and Powder for a quick review. I used the foundation in Warm Beige Light 7, the Translucent Medium Powder and the Concealer in Medium 1,2,3,4. Depending on where you purchase them they average about $8 for each product. Here’s a breakdown of what I thought of the 3 Covergirl TruBlend products.
(Concealer) Not creamy more waxy, strong crayon smell, covered blemishes.
(Foundation) Thick consistency, a little goes a long way, non scented, feels great on skin, light weight and set to velvet finish without powder (Powder) I used powder on the right side/T-zone.
Overall after the initial application, I love how it makes my skin look flawless, natural and radiant even in flash photography!
(3pm) It looks good and natural not heavy or oily. Overall a good 1st update.
(7pm) It began to look oily all over, so I touched up skin. Around my nose you can see that it was powdery. Overall is good complexion and not too much redness is coming through.
(11 pm) 10 hours later noticed it was blotchy. My blush began to come off to the touch.
End of day overall review:
I think it’s a good foundation for all skin types. I suggest using the setting powder only if you have oily skin.I would pass on the concealer. It wasn’t smooth on the skin and I didn’t like the consistency. I suggest opting for Loreal’s Stick concealer instead. After trying all three TruBlend products, I would repurchase the foundation for it’s great coverage , the complexion & awesome color selection.
Overall the line is okay.Out of the three I would repurchase the foundation, it has great coverage, great complexion and good color selection.
