If you watch my daily vlogs here on Itsjudyslife then you know that I am married to my best friend Benji. He and I tied the knot on August  12th 2011. We got engaged as I posted about HERE, and soon after the wedding planning process began! Tips For Attending a Bridal Show

1. Make labels.

Pre-made lables with your name, address, wedding date, phone number and email address are a must! Trust me this will save you lots of time and energy when filling out forms at each vendor table. You can quickly peel and stick and move on to the next!

2. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

You will be walking around the show anywhere from 2-4 hours and you want to be as relaxed and comfortable as possible! Sneakers/flats are a great idea!

3. Plan your day.

Take advantage of the Bridal Show website and plan your route around the show. Decide which vendors you want to stop by and when. Take advantage of down time during fashion shows to speak to the vendors you’re most interested in.

4. Take notes and photos.

This is important especially after the show that you take great notes and organize vendor information. Don’t be afraid to take photos for inspiration and to help you remember what you liked at the show!

Bamboo Beats was a vendor on our must visit list! And I’m so glad we stopped by because they ended up being our DJ’s for our wedding!

5. Take your time and enjoy your day.

Don’t feel obligated to make decisions or sign any contracts at the very minute you are at a booth. Take your time and think about things and come back to the vendor or contact them after the show. And most importantly, enjoy your time with your fiancé this should be a fun and special time for you to share!

I hope these tips are helpful to my newly engaged couples out there! I wish I would have known a few of  these tips before attending. If you aren’t preparing to tie the knot but know someone who, is make sure to share this post with them or bookmark it for your special day.

Thanks so much for reading and make sure to comment any tips you may have for attending a bridal show!
